Already early on it was clear that this year will be a record year – in terms of student interest, matching pairs and meetings conducted. Unprecedented high number of 120+ students applied to be matched with their mentors for the semester. This year we aimed to make the pairs based on the professional interest from student side and field of expertise from mentor side accordingly – in that way primarily focusing on career-related matches.
Throughout the programme students landed internships and built new connections, got advice from their mentors not only about professional matters, but also related to their personal development. Some students admitted – even after the programme ended, they still keep in touch with their mentors, call them, some of them – even go to the gym together.
We concluded this project with the number of 115 pairs and over 345 meetings done overall – which is truly a great evidence of initiative and time invested from both sides.
