Graduation 2024 and welcoming the new graduates in our network

June 8 was the day of annual graduation ceremony which this year took place in Lielā Ģilde – the historical venue in Old Riga. All together 105 graduates have finished SSE Riga this year and can officially and fully join our network of alumni – a warm welcome and we hope to see them in the upcoming events and projects.
This year Kristaps Siliņš, member of the board, on behalf of Alumni Association gave a speech to the new graduates – Kristaps jokingly talked from ‘old person’s’ perspective telling the students how he thought at the time of his own graduation and what he would like to say to them now – having lived passed and through the time that follows. He noted the idea of being humble – in other words – advised not to feel that anyone is entitled to anything, because neither of us are; Additionally – he continued, Kristaps would hope for the new alumni not to become bitter – challenges and life situations constantly happen that can make our paths harder at times, but he wished everyone to keep going nevertheless.
In the evening the old and the new alumni gathered together for ‘Cocktails with Alumni’ and celebrated the graduation day at Sporta kvartāls. It was very nice to see everyone together and happy, relaxed having reached this educational milestone. We wish all the best to the class of 2024 and see you soon around!
